Role: Senior Associate (7+ PQE)
Specialisation: Property Asset Management
Location: Leeds (preferred), Edinburgh (preferred), Manchester, Glasgow (Hybrid – 3 days in office)Seeking a senior-level (7+ years PQE) solicitor with expertise in property asset management to join an established team in a top 20 international law firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven supervisory experience and a deep understanding of delivering excellent client service to a client with a large property portfolio. You will play a key role in guiding legal and strategic operations, collaborating with colleagues in property and leadership to build strong relationships and support the client’s growth.Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead legal advisor on asset management for a major client with an extensive property portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations.
  • Lead the negotiation, drafting, and oversight of leases, licenses, variations, surrenders, extensions, consents, and related agreements.
  • Proactively manage legal risks, particularly those relevant to the client’s industry.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of legal professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Act as the primary legal point of contact for the client and internal teams, providing insights and solutions aligned with the client’s strategic goals.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Lawyer with a minimum of 7+ years’ PQE, ideally in a busy asset management environment.
  • Extensive experience in asset management, preferably with knowledge of industry-specific needs.
  • Proven experience managing complex asset management portfolios or large client accounts.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in legal technology platforms and digital tools for portfolio management, performance tracking, and compliance.
