- Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in Life Sciences or similarly regulated sectors.
- Expertise in HVAC systems, with a strong background in Cleanroom facility design.
- Proficiency in BIM using Revit MEP and other relevant MEP design software.
- Familiarity with statutory and regulatory procedures, ISO standards, and building services best practices.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems design and implementation.
- Knowledge of design and build contracts, including project budgeting and cost control.
- Technical innovation, value creation, and customer relationship management.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Senior Building Services – HVAC/Mechanical Design Lead Skills:
- Serve as the HVAC/Mechanical design lead for assigned projects, representing the company in relevant meetings.
- Develop detailed mechanical/HVAC design information tailored to project needs.
- Ensure designs comply with client requirements, industry standards, and guidelines.
- Oversee HVAC design development, ensuring cost-effective and innovative solutions.
- Monitor budgets for HVAC scopes and lead value engineering exercises when required.
- Support tendering processes by developing preliminary designs for bids and proposals.
- Mentor and manage mechanical engineering team members on relevant projects.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide peer reviews for constructability and quality assurance.
- Promote a culture of collaboration within the team and across the organisation.
- Build strong relationships with clients, end-users, and supply chain partners.
- Provide technical insights during client engagements and tender discussions.
- Monitor and enhance engineering procedures for building services.
- Track and improve the department’s output through audits and recommendations.
- Stay updated on statutory, regulatory, and technical developments, implementing beneficial innovations.
