The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a center of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.SiriusXM’s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.SiriusXM’s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.SiriusXM’s Dublin facility is planning to recruit positions in the following areas of focus:

  • Software Development: Software development roles will be tasked with developing and executing innovation roadmaps and provide advanced operations capabilities.
  • Automotive Technology & Engineering: The Dublin team will focus on the development, testing, and support of software and platforms primarily for SiriusXM’s in-vehicle services, as well as for SiriusXM’s consumer electronics and emerging businesses. They will be part of the global team focused on customer adoption, enhancing customer experiences, and driving revenue generation.
  • AdTech, Data Science & Analytics: The Dublin team will play a critical role in the modernisation of SiriusXM’s AdTech stack, focused on efficiency and scalability. Developing innovative solutions and prototyping new methods for music discovery and content engagement, this team will integrate cutting-edge technologies, such as Generative AI and Large Language Models, to enhance the subscription value and modernize SiriusXM’s suite of streaming applications and products.

How you’ll make an impact:We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead our automotive software development organization. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating with multiple technology teams of globally located engineers and ensuring the successful planning, integration, and delivery of complex automotive 360L SiriusXM apps, Software and Hardware technology into OEM head units.Join our dynamic team and take part in shaping the future of in-car entertainment with the SiriusXM 360L Automotive applications. Together, we will revolutionize the way automotive customers enjoy their audio content on the go.What you’ll do:

  • Manage and mentor multiple technology teams of globally located engineers to help the organization achieve shared objectives for the strategic business goals – including efficiency, cost, and quality.
  • Build and mentor high performance, knowledgeable and collaborative teams.
  • Lead knowledgeable and collaborative teams toward consistency and excellence in quality and delivery predictability.
  • Drive the implementation of best practices and industry standards for high quality, scalable SXM software deliveries for the Automotive marketplace.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of SW Design, Development, Validation, Release and integration and delivery of SXM software technology into the Automotive market to successful start of production, providing continued Software support and upgrades throughout the lifecycle of OEM involvement in the vehicle head unit.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including software development, product management, and OEM engineering to align SiriusXM software deliveries to support inclusion features and functionality to support OEM customer start of production goals.
  • Apply new ways to utilize automation to streamline efficiency in Software deliveries for OEM customers.
  • Ensure software teams are trained and refreshed with new critical skills which create next generation software technology and solutions for the Automotive market.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure clear communication of software deliveries, objectives, progress, and results in support of automotive technology deliveries.
  • Innovate and define new ways to anticipate and solve problems before they happen by having a deep understanding of product and technical challenges for Automotive head unit software and systems.
  • Provide proactive and effective communications that anticipate and balances the needs of multiple stakeholders with a variety of subjects and engineering areas.
  • Lead the team in providing excellence in collaboration across multiple software and technology teams within SiriusXM.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years managing technology teams with large complex systems which range from embedded to client application software.
  • 10+ years of extensive experience in managing large, complex automotive software and system programs with a proven track record of delivery and execution.
  • Strong Expertise in system and integration of automotive infotainment systems.
  • Proficiency in analyzing technical requirements for automotive customer implementations which incorporate SiriusXM new features.
  • Proved experience in implementation and delivery of complex frameworks incorporating SiriusXM technology within the automotive system domain.
  • Hands-on Software systems knowledge and validation/testing experience including power cycle, and performance & system test, platform test, compatibility, stress, and random testing of automotive frameworks such as AAOS.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and departments.
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle for both Consumer and Automotive segments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with driving high quality delivery and validation methods including automated testing tools and frameworks within the automotive software industry.
  • Knowledge of safety-critical systems standards and compliance requirements in the automotive sector.
  • Experience in OTA software updates for Automotive Marketplace
  • Experience with Android Automotive (AAOS) or other automotive infotainment systems.
  • Experience with SiriusXM Satellite services protocols
  • Familiarity with media streaming technologies, audio processing, and content delivery networks.
  • Extensive proficiency in software best practices and process methodologies, including AutomotiveSPICE, CMMI, etc.
  • Extensive experience in automated and manual testing methodologies.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Expertise of test development and execution for Android platform features.
  • Defect tracking, verification, and analysis.
  • Ability to analyse complex technical documentation and requirements.
  • Experience in execution of Android monkey and CTS tests.
  • Analysis, logging, and verification of identified defects.
  • Development of manual test procedures.
