The smart and unique skill set that Watt Footprint brings to the market, is the ability to offer businesses both small and large, a complete energy management saving solution from initial feasibility assessment and energy audit to securing grants approvals, project upgrades, through to the completion of measured and verified savings.We are looking for a Senior Energy Engineer to join our team to take the lead on large commercial energy efficiency feasibility studies and lead the auditing team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a vibrant team of remote workers united by the purpose of making Ireland greener and delivering excellent results. You must be based in Ireland and have a driver’s license, although the role is remote, the team will meet once a month for training and co-working.Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Energy / Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 7 years’ of work experience in building services / M & V/ energy efficiency.
- Ideally IPMVP/CEM Certified.
- ISO 50001 trained Energy Manager with expertise in Renewable Energy, Energy Management and Efficiency Energy Audits.
- A good understanding of ISO 14001 – Environmental management systems is desirable.
- You must have proven ability of demonstrating excellent attention to detail and excellent client management.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment with an optimistic approach to work and life.
- Incredibly proactive and able to take initiative and work efficiently with little direction.
- Excellent oral & written communication skills, and competent using Office 365.
What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced Energy Engineer to lead in some of our larger client energy audits and energy efficiency feasibility studies which involve carrying out energy opportunities surveys, preparing energy consumption calculations, organising contractors to visit site / quote for work and making top level financial justifications for suggested projects.
- The role is client facing, requiring site visits, client meeting and stakeholder management.
- You will assist clients get ISO 50001 /ISO 14001 certified and must be an expert in both.
- You must have good leadership and inter-personal skills to mentor, assist and deliver training our junior energy engineers.
