Join our Technology Team and advance your career as a Senior Enterprise Technology Engineer (Network Security)

As a Senior enterprise technology engineer (Network Security), you’ll provide expert technical support for security and risk initiatives across BP’s Connectivity environments. This includes designing secure solutions, supporting incident response, and ensuring compliance with security standards. You’ll collaborate across teams to embed security by design and drive consistent application of security processes.

Travel requirement: <5%, based on business needs.

Key Accountabilities:

• Operate and maintain security tools (e.g., ZScaler, firewalls) across cloud/on-prem environments.
• Analyze vulnerability scan results and guide remediation.
• Develop dashboards and track key vulnerability management metrics.
• Support incident response and security awareness efforts.
• Implement and monitor network security (e.g., IDS/IPS, VPNs, access controls).
• Conduct vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and monitor for breaches.
• Optimize network performance and apply QoS policies.
• Maintain documentation (e.g., security diagrams, SOPs).
• Automate tasks using Ansible, Python, etc.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Stay current on networking, security frameworks, and SDN technologies.

Essential Experience:

• Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or related field; 6+ years’ experience.
• Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles, network protocols, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
• Familiarity with NIST, CIS, ISO27001, and OWASP Top 10.
• Proficient in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with network automation (e.g., Ansible), monitoring tools (e.g., LogicMonitor, Viavi).
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and incident management skills.
• ITIL Foundation v3 knowledge or certification.

Desirable Criteria:

• Certifications: Versa/Cisco/Juniper Associate, Fortinet, ITIL Intermediate.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN, enterprise risk/security, and automation scripting.
