Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant
Location: Dublin (Hybrid)
Duration: Estimated end 28/02/2025 (18-24 months contract)Duties:
- Execute timely and accurately US GAAP general ledger accounting close, including journal preparation and / or review. Contribute to QTR end management pack preparation.
- Prepare and / or review Balance Sheet reconciliations at each period end.
- Ownership for number of international legal entities, preparation of statutory financial statements in house or with assistance of external service providers in accordance with local GAAP. Manage related year-end external audits,
- Providing recommendations to management regarding local GAAP accounting treatments Vs US GAAP. Annual reconciliations from US GAAP to statutory financial statements.
- Support international tax team with preparation of tax returns.
- Prepare VAT & other compliance returns on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis.
- Drive process improvements and participate in accounting transformation projects to achieve scalability, efficiency, and productivity.
- Assist in the documentation and compliance testing related to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
- Assist with integration of companies acquired by the client’s group;
- Participate and support the Corporate Accounting team in ad hoc projects as required.
Skills:
- Essential – qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or international equivalent) with multinational audit experience (coming from top tier accountancy firm). Preferably with up to 2 year post qualified experience
- Candidates with experience of working in a multinational environment in Shared Services Structure will also be considered
- Highly motivated self-starter who is able to support management on accounting challenges, policies and accounting treatments, passionate about continuous improvements.
- Fluent English speaker. Additional language is a distinctive advantage.
- Comfortable in a fluid environment that changes as the business evolves.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP (e.g. SAP) are essential.
- Desirable working skills with financial reporting tools (e.g. Workiva), Power BI, Blackline, Tableau.
- Excellent communication skills.
Qualification:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA), or European equivalent is a requirement
