My client a Commercial Semi-State body have an immediate requirement for a Senior Financial Modeller to join their team. Hybrid working hours.Senior Financial ModellerFinance – Dublin, DublinAbout the Role:A key member of the Finance team, the successful candidate will be collaborative, collegiate and make a strong contribution to the company. Relationship management and excellent communication skills are a prerequisite as the role involves interaction with multiple internal stakeholders.Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Financial Modeller will work closely with the Head of Strategy and other members of the Management Committee. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the journey and contribute to the ongoing delivery and performance.Summary:· Model Development & Maintenance:· Build, maintain, and update detailed financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability.· Develop valuation models (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction) for investment or acquisition decisions.· Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of different assumptions on financial outcomes.Data Analysis & Reporting:· Collect, analyse, and interpret financial and operational data to develop insights.· Produce financial reports and presentations to senior management, stakeholders, or clients.· Ensure that models are accurate, up-to-date, and reflect real-time business conditions.Business Support:· Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and strategic planning.· Collaborate with various departments (finance, operations, strategy) to gather input and ensure accuracy.· Advise on potential risks or opportunities identified through financial modelling.Performance Evaluation:· Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights into company or project performance.· Create budgeting and forecasting models to help management with financial planning.Project & Investment Analysis:· Evaluate the financial viability of new projects or investments.· Work with project teams to develop cost/benefit analyses, financial projections, and ROI assessments.Compliance & Best Practices:· Ensure all financial models comply with applicable accounting standards and regulations.· Follow best practices in financial modelling, reporting, and documentation.Key Requirements:· A minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a similar role within a similar organisation is essential for this role.· A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.· Extensive experience as a Financial Modelling Analyst or in a similar role.· Advanced understanding of Financial Modelling techniques and tools.· Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Financial Modelling software, and data analysis tools.Additional experience and skills required:· Ability to execute in relatively ambiguous and complex situations, prioritizing and juggling multiple actions at once, work independently, be self-motivated and action oriented· Exercises sound judgment and professionalism· Highly organized and detail-oriented· Demonstrate a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, maintain confidentiality, and be an effective team player· Strong verbal and written communication skills· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsFor more information, please contact#LI-RW2
