We believe in fostering an environment where there is a diversity of perspectives, in hopes that we can all thrive.Job SummaryThe Senior FP&A Data Engineer develops and maintains efficient data flows to ensure availability, accuracy and security of information across all active databases used for PowerBI dashboards. The role is pivotal in securing a robust, efficient data architecture indispensable for providing accurate and timely business insights while ensuring highest levels of data security,Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular data updates for a handful of currently manual database update processes, with a view to fully automate them where possible
  • Troubleshoot data update issues across all databases and scripts currently in use
  • Review the current landscape of active databases and data flows to identify and fix inefficiencies, inaccuracies and security risks
  • Centralize and optimize data flows, ensuring all processes feeding PowerBI models are efficient, transparent and well documented
  • Develop a set of additional controls for monitoring execution timelines and accuracy of all data updates
  • Migrate a number of highly complex legacy data flows into Synapse to enable decommissioning of Alteryx
  • Continuously improve the data infrastructure while adhering to security and regulatory compliance norms
  • Define data governance policies in cooperation with FP&A VP
  • Collaborate with FP&A Business Partners and business teams to expand data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization
  • Support various operational improvement projects as required

Education & Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in data engineering
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Proficiency with data processing frameworks and tools
  • Experience in building and maintaining reliable ETLs
  • Ability to work with various data storage solutions and cloud platforms, including optimization of data storage and retrieval
  • Experience implementing governance processes
  • Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and passion for accurate, high-quality work
