Located in our Denver, CO office, you will be located at the Gates Headquarters downtown office, this role is for an Information Technology Senior IT Business Analyst, reporting to the IT Global Sourcing Senior Manager.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business IT Analyst to enhance our telecom and network infrastructure operations. This role focuses on process mapping, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing improvements across our network infrastructure projects.

Additionally, you will manage purchase orders related to information technology, oversee response management for carriers, assist with new vendor requirements, and ensure timely reminders for upcoming contract expirations. You’ll be working with IT, Finance, and various IT stakeholders across a global organization.

This is an exciting opportunity because you will be able to collaborate with leadership and business owners to develop and implement strategies for effective tracking and monitoring of vendors to improve processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process Mapping & Improvement:

  • Analyze and map current processes related to telecom and network infrastructure management.
  • Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement within existing processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance process efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and implement new processes and improvements.

Mobility Management Process Improvement:

  • Evaluate and enhance processes related to mobility management, including mobile device management (MDM), mobile application management (MAM), and telecom expense management (TEM).
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize mobile device lifecycle management, including sourcing, deployment, support, and disposal.
  • Identify and address inefficiencies in mobile plan management, data usage, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with IT and telecom teams to integrate mobility management solutions with broader telecom and network infrastructure initiatives.

IT Purchase Order Management:

  • Oversee the preparation, issuance, and tracking of purchase orders related to information technology and network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate terms and ensure timely delivery of products and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and related documentation.

Carrier Response Management:

  • Manage and oversee interactions with telecom carriers, ensuring timely and effective responses to service requests, issues, and escalations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for effective carrier response management, including service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
  • Monitor carrier performance and resolve any service-related issues or disputes.
  • Coordinate with carriers to ensure alignment with project requirements and deadlines.
  • Transformation of Legacy Telecom Vendors:
  • Lead initiatives to transform and modernize relationships with legacy telecom vendors.
  • Evaluate existing vendor contracts, performance, and technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and modernization.
  • Implement strategies to integrate new technologies and solutions, while phasing out outdated systems and processes.
  • Foster strong relationships with both new and legacy vendors to ensure a smooth transition and continuous support.

Assisting with New IT Vendor Requirements:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document new vendor requirements.
  • Assist in the evaluation and onboarding of new vendors, ensuring they meet organizational needs and standards.
  • Coordinate with sourcing and IT teams to integrate new vendors into existing processes and systems.

IT Contract Expiration Reminders:

  • Monitor and track contract expiration dates for telecom and IT-related agreements.
  • Remind IT leaders and stakeholders of upcoming expirations and facilitate renewal discussions or alternative solutions.
  • Ensure timely action is taken to address expiring contracts and prevent service disruptions.

Reporting & Communication:

  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on process improvements, challenges, and progress.
  • Facilitate effective communication among team members, stakeholders, telecom carriers, vendors, and IT leaders.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all processes comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct process reviews and evaluations to identify areas for continuous improvement.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven 10+ year experience in Business Analyst or IT Analyst, particularly within telecom and network infrastructure, or related field.
  • A college degree is preferred, but not required. Advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle systems and other financial contract tracking and management tools (e.g. Conga and Manage Engine).
  • Proficiency in process mapping and improvement tools (e.g. Visio, Microsoft Project)
  • Microsoft 365 proficient – advanced Excel skills preferred. Power BI is a plus.
  • Project Management or PMP certification is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex IT contracts and financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience with mobility management processes, including mobile device management, mobile application management, and telecom expense management.
  • Experience with carrier response management, including handling service requests, performance metrics, and issue resolution.
  • Proven track record in transforming and modernizing relationships with legacy telecom vendors.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in information technology analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Organized, able to support and manage multiple projects, flexible to accommodate changing business needs.
  • Experience in documenting processes and procedures related to telecom management or IT governance is desirable.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Full-Time
  • Salary Range: $95,000 – $105,000
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
  • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
  • 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
