As a result, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join us.Our BA roles involve working on a wide variety of projects for both Life and General Insurance facing projects, tailored to your own development needs. You’ll be covering a range of topics from new product and platform launches to technology refreshes and delivering significant business change, whilst maintaining a healthy work/life balance.Working within our shared service UK Business Analysis team, you will have an opportunity to further develop your analysis skillset in a broad and varied change portfolio. You will also be part of our highly engaged Business Analysis practice, working with like-minded colleagues in a supportive environment to contribute to the maturity of the business analysis capability.What will you be doing?
- You will provide all of the analysis input required as part of the application migration activity to the AWS Cloud, ensuring that all of the required BA artefacts are produced and signed off by all required stakeholders
- You will work with the project manager to support the Governance process related to your project workstream
- You’ll contribute to the planning and be responsible for the analysis approach, adapting organisational standards to meet project goals
- Collaborative by nature, you’ll understand the need to work with other areas of the business with the customer at the heart of your focus. You’ll be able to drive activity and understand the deliverables involved, as well as meet challenging timelines
- You’ll elicit and document business requirements to include functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring the needs of both internal and external parties are reconciled
- You’ll perform analysis across the end-to-end business processes to understand the system impacts
- You’ll contribute to the functional design of the system, preparing use cases, functional specifications, and other design artefacts
- You’ll Work alongside third-party providers to ensure the scoped solution fully meets the business need
- You’ll join with peers to share experience and develop best practices to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of the department and grow your own skillset
- You’ll provide support for testing, implementation, and training activities to ensure the seamless delivery of change
- You’ll Perform peer reviews for project artefacts to ensure specified standards are attained
What are we looking for?Essential:
- Experience of documenting and supporting the implementation of a Target Operating Model
- End-to-end experience of the project lifecycle and business analysis experience of IT and business change projects
- Experience with different methodologies and best practices using a range of requirement elicitation and documentation techniques
- Experience in delivering BA artefacts on business and IT change projects
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience in documenting business requirements, functional and non-functional specifications or similar
- Experience with system and user acceptance testing
- Experience in business process modelling and tools
- A good understanding of IT and digital technology combined with commercial awareness
- Must be comfortable working with ambiguity, as we’re on a new journey where the path isn’t always clearly defined
- Must be able to adopt a mindset of continuous improvement
- Must be able to reflect on lessons learnt and incorporate into subsequent deliveries to improve quality, delivery efficiency
Desirable:
- Ideally, Business analysis qualifications (e.g., ISEB or CBAP) a background in Financial Services, would be beneficial or any relevant cloud qualification either at foundation or practitioner level, but if you feel you fit the bill, don’t let this stop you.
