The applicant will have opportunities to develop teaching, learning and leadership skills working under the direction of the Divisional Lead. At this level you would be expected to undertake a leadership role within the Division.The position can either be as an academic in teaching and research or an academic in education (teaching):
– Academic (Education) is for clinicians / academics who have education and leadership experience in academia. You will be largely responsible for teaching across a range of modules and will also be expected to engage in educational / pedagogical projects and research.
– Academic (Teaching and Research) is for individuals who have completed (or are near completion) of a PhD in occupational therapy or a related subject. You will be expected to engage in both teaching and on-going research in your field of expertise.We are seeking applications from enthusiastic occupational therapists who will enhance the reputation of the Division through their clinical experience/research and innovative teaching, promoting effective student engagement in learning. Applicants will be an occupational therapist (registered with HCPC) with a CPD portfolio commensurate with research-led clinical practice and education. We welcome applications from people with professional experience of research and working in services relevant to the delivery of high quality occupational therapy education.
