• Oversee accounting close and financial reporting activities.
• Ensure compliance with international and local GAAP rules.
• Coordinate and present quarterly accounting issues to senior finance leadership and external auditors.
• Manage the preparation, audit, and filing of statutory financial statements for all entities under remit.
• Ensure controls and compliance across all functions within the wider finance team.
• Lead internal and external direct tax reporting and filings.
• Drive change initiatives and participate in cross-functional projects.
• Develop and maintain internal controls related to accounting and financial reporting systems.
• Foster a continuous improvement culture, defining and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Recruitment, retention, motivation, and development of a large finance team.

ABOUT THE PERSON

• 7-10 years of business experience, including management in an international organization.
• Expertise in general accounting policies, regional statutory and tax reporting requirements.
• Background in Big 4 or similar, with significant exposure to large companies.
• Proficiency with large scale ERP systems e.g Oracle / SAP.
• Strong skills in accounting, customer service, process improvement, and project management.
• Proven experience in leading teams, both directly and remotely, with effective people management skills.
• Ability to quickly establish credibility and influence at multiple levels within the organisation.
