They will build and sustain relationships with all levels of employees to ensure the Innovation team is as engaged and productive as possible on their mission to develop revolutionary new medicines for patients with serious and rare diseases. The HR Business Partner will have a strong focus on Talent Acquisition by leading activities to attract, recruit, hire and onboard top talent and will be responsible for establishing strategies, processes, and programs to enable cost-effective, time efficient and quality-focused talent acquisition. Key areas of responsibility include workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent management, professional development, organizational development, performance management, change management and employee relations. While the team member’s focus will be on the Insmed Innovation UK Limited team, they will also have the opportunity to support and partner with Research team members across the global organization. The role is based in Cambridge, UK. Responsibilities: ​Responsibilities :

  • Lead activities to attract, recruit, hire and onboard top talent
  • Embed process, tools and systems within the business to establish best-in-class hiring and induction processes
  • Screen and recommend qualified candidates to hiring managers
  • Finalize the contracting process, inclusive of reference checks and compensation requirements; manage the acceptance and declined offers of all candidates
  • Responsible for the induction and onboarding for newly-hired employees
  • Coach, guide, and influence people leaders to further develop and maintain a thriving culture, in tandem with our organizational evolution, leading to employee engagement, driving retention
  • Partner with leadership to understand team goals, challenges, and opportunities, aiding a relationship of mutual trust to be involved as a key partner in decisions; participate in business discussions to assess individual client need, acting as a sounding board and recommending actions to contribute to the team’s success and ultimately the organization’s success
  • Coach people leaders through employee relations issues, ensuring both a fair and consistent process while balancing employee accountability and organizational needs
  • Partner with leaders in the planning and implementation of workforce strategies and transformation initiatives to support organization growth and evolution.
  • Partner with internal HR team members to ensure the pull-through of organizational-wide programs
  • Demonstrates an understanding and knowledge of industry information and the competitive landscape
  • Develops and reviews regular recruiting metrics and reports
  • Implement and evolve local practices and benefits to develop, engage, and retain employees; leverage change management skills to assist with organizational adaptation
  • Identify, recommend, and lead client engagements and training programs
  • Facilitate key meetings, focus groups and other discussions to evaluate business need for future employee programs, tools, and resources
  • Leverage people data and analytics to formulate well-rounded recommendations when providing guidance or delivering initiatives and programs
  • Create new tools and resources to support identified business need and future organizational direction
  • Develop and drive consistency in administering local human resources policies and procedures to ensure that employees receive appropriate and equitable treatment; facilitate local human resources programs and offerings
  • Ensure personnel records are maintained and stored in Workday accurately
  • Partner with EMEA HR team to deploy local benefit programs and manage leave of absence requests
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in UK employment law and ensure the company’s policies and practices align with legal requirements
  • Partner with research teams across the organization for consistency in programs and processes, looking for opportunities to foster cross-functional development opportunities, leading to talent mobility

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree – focus on Human Resources Management or Organizational Development a plus
  • Minimum 5-7 years of Human Resources experience in HR Business Partnering & Talent Acquisition
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry, within a highly dynamic research and drug discovery environment
  • Thorough knowledge of UK labour laws
  • Thorough knowledge of applicant tracking systems, internet-based recruiting and behavioural-based interview techniques
  • Prior experience successfully navigating a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Effective interpersonal awareness to build and sustain strong partnerships with trust and credibility
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all employees at all levels both internally and externally
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities at once
  • Excellent reasoning, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
