We are seeking a dynamic person to define the future roadmap for all Openreach network platforms to OSS systems, covering element managers, network OSS systems, physical inventory, and end-to-end journeys for Plan & Build (P&B), Lead to Cash (L2C), and Network Assurance. You will also detail the changes required to meet the Telecom Security Act.

In this role, you will manage the Architecture Compliance (ACE) process to ensure that our future network OSS designs align with our strategic blueprint. This position emphasises relationship building as you will work closely with various teams to ensure seamless integration and execution. Join us to play a crucial role in shaping the future of our network and ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional service to our diverse customer base.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Defining and ensuring compliance to the Network OSS architecture blueprint.

  • Working with OSS, BSS, Networks teams, virtualised infrastructure teams and network vendors to agree interface specifications and technology roadmaps.

  • Driving international standards for network element manager architecture and data models

  • Creating technology enablers for our network assurance ambitions.

Essential Skills:

  • Network and systems knowledge especially modern APIs and cloud native approaches.

  • Working with a wide range of technical and business stakeholders.

  • Passion for strategic thinking and challenging the status-quo.

  • Working knowledge of networks, passion for network technology and delivering customer outcomes.

  • Developing technical strategy.

  • Working with matrix teams and vendors to deliver transformational technology.

Desirable Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of Openreach’s networks & systems.

  • Member of a professional body e.g. Institution of Engineering and Technology

  • An innovator, come up with new ways of working and introducing new technology.
