If your answer is “Yes!” then you may be the person we’re looking for.As our Senior People Engagement, EVP, Wellbeing & Change Manager you’ll direct and implement our multi-year and near-term strategies and evaluation methodology across the disciplines. You’ll demonstrate the skills of change management efforts up to Executive Committee Level with clear impact outcomes to behavioural change and data tracking.We are looking for someone to continuously improve employee engagement and business agility – bringing thought leadership to the behavioural aspect of organisational change and effectiveness driving value back to the business and shaping organisational culture.You’ll also be responsible for evolving and embedding our Employee Value Proposition framework (we call it Our People Deal) and activating our Employer Brand to achieve our long-term goal of becoming the most engaged team in our industry, attracting and retaining the best diverse talent.   • Being our organisational thought leader and deep SME expert on People Engagement; Health & Wellbeing; Employee Value Proposition and Employer Brand bringing expert advice/thought leadership, bringing the outside in and best practices. Co-creating with the business our strategies and frameworks for the future, with an employee centricity mindset.
  • Enabling greater business agility through the design and deployment of the behavioural change elements to Pivot to Agile alongside an organisational behavioural change management framework for managing the people side of change.
  • Assessing our organisational Health and Wellbeing needs, integrating best practices to enhance employee wellbeing, and continuously evaluate the impact of evidence-based initiatives to promote a supportive and psychologically healthy work environment.
  • Taking our Employee Value Proposition and Employer Brand framework to the next level by developing a mid/long term roadmap – driving reinforcement that sets ourselves apart in the Financial Services sector and lives through our people managers.
  • Driving a community of practice being a trainer, coach, and facilitator for the Strategic People Solutions team and our Strategic People Partners sharing technical CoE experiences and skills.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven technical expertise and innovation across People Engagement, EVP, Wellbeing & Change with a deep commitment to influence structural and systemic change to organisational change and effectiveness.
  • Skilled at thought leadership and best practice strategies to how an organisation can achieve high-performance through engaging its people, advocating for customer and the delivery of value.
  • Track record engaging Senior Leaders creating inspiration, challenge and commitment through effective storytelling quantitative and qualitative data with impact to enterprise-wide business agility.
  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Santander operates, and how this connects to the San UK Strategic Blueprint.
  • Customer obsessed to provide a super people experience with awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment and how this connects to internal strategic goals.

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • MSc or Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Occupational Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Certified Change Management Practitioner (Prosci) or Certified Change Management Professional (ACMP).

Team and Business Area Overview:You’ll be part of the newly formed Organisational Culture and Policy Centre of Expertise (‘CoE’) reporting directly to the CoE Practice Leader, who sits on the HR Leadership Team. You can find more about them here – .You will support the Strategic People Solutions team and Strategic People Partners, forming a community of practice to share technical expertise and ensure the strategy is executed effectively within the business. Additionally, you will also engage with our Talent & Reward CoEs and Talent Experiences Team to ensure alignment of our strategies and objectives are being met.Interview ApproachOur interview process involves 3 stages – you’ll have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you want at each stage as we want to make sure that if you choose to work for Santander it’s going to be right for you.

  • In Person Interview in our Unity Place Head Office (1 Hour). You’ll meet with Damien Shieber and another member of the HR Leadership Team. They’ll ask you about your previous experience, your motivation to come and join Santander and skills-based questions based on what you find in this role advert.
  • Technical Presentation in our Unity Place Head Office (1.5 Hour) with Damien Shieber and another business Senior Leader showcasing your knowledge of the subject alongside your ability to explain complex concepts to different audiences. It’s a chance for you to paint a picture for us about why you’ll make an impact here.
  • Meet with our Chief People Officer (30 mins) and have an informal chat to get to know you, what you hope to achieve in the position and working at Santander.

You can also have an optional informal coffee with some of your CoE teammates after the second stage if you would like – to get to know them and find out more about the team.The interview approach will aim to take around 3-4 weeks, and we will understand your availability to support you.We take pride in being part of the Disability Confident Scheme. As well as brilliant teammates and engaging work, you’ll enjoy a benefits package that you can tailor to your needs.

  • £6,000 car allowance per year
  • Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus.
  • We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer.
  • 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
