Job Title: Senior Medical Secretary
Location: Central London – Private Medical Centre – on Harley Street
Contract Type: Temporary (Potential to go Permanent)
Rate: £20 per hour
Start Date: ASAPAbout the Role:We are working on behalf of a prestigious private medical clinic to recruit an experienced Senior Medical Secretary for a fast paced and high profile environment. This is a temporary position with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.The successful individual will be the heartbeat of the clinic’s operations, working alongside the Business Development Manager, helping to develop relationships with patients and supporting high-net-worth patients, liaising closely with doctors, coordinating complex schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and care.Key Responsibilities:Serve as the primary point of contact for high end clientele, both UK based and internationalLiaise professionally and efficiently with consultants, GPs, private doctors abroad, and international embassies/hotelsManage and coordinate complex diaries and multiple patient bookings with precision and discretionWalk patients through procedures, offering clear and empathetic communication at every stepMaintain smooth patient journeys from enquiry to aftercare, acting as their key point of contactEnsure all administrative duties are completed to the highest standard, including medical typing, correspondence, and filingUphold GDPR and confidentiality standards in all dealingsSupport the clinical team with knowledge of GP procedures, practice management, and clinic workflowsEssential Experience & Requirements:Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Medical Secretary in a fast paced Private Healthcare environment (Clinic/Hospital/Wellbeing Centre).Proven experience managing multiple schedules, patients, and stakeholders simultaneouslyExperience working with a high-net-worth patient base, offering VIP-level serviceConfident liaising with consultants, GPs, international private doctors, and hotelsStrong and proven working knowledge of general GP procedures and clinic operationsHigh level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a proactive mindsetTech-savvy, with proficiency in medical software and Microsoft OfficeComfortable working under pressure and responding quickly to changing prioritiesDesirable:Experience with international patients and coordinating across different time zonesPrevious exposure to embassy or concierge medicine environmentsFamiliarity with medical billing systems in private practice

Expected salary

£20 – 21 per hour
