We deliver customized managed service solutions, allowing clients to have our expert team on-site at their own facilities or outsource those services to us here at CLS.Job Title: Senior MicrobiologistThe Role:As a Senior Microbiologist, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of microbiological testing in a sterile manufacturing setting. You will lead and support critical quality investigations, contribute to audit readiness, and help guide junior team members. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining the high-quality standards expected within the pharmaceutical industry.Responsibilities:Perform and review a range of microbiological tests including Environmental Monitoring (EM), Bioburden, Endotoxin (BET), Microbial Limits Testing (MLT), and water system testing in a GMP environment.Lead investigations related to microbiological deviations, out-of-specification (OOS), and out-of-trend (OOT) results.Review and approve microbiological data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with cGMP standards.Support the implementation and continuous improvement of contamination control strategies.Provide input into updates of SOPs, protocols, and risk assessments related to microbiology operations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, manufacturing, and validation to ensure microbiological control across the site.Assist in audit preparation and participate in internal and external inspections.Train and mentor junior microbiologists, providing technical guidance and on-the-job support.Stay informed on current regulatory guidance and industry best practices relevant to microbiological testing.Who You Are:
You are an experienced and detail-oriented microbiologist who thrives in a regulated, fast-paced environment. You enjoy working collaboratively while also taking initiative, and you have a strong understanding of microbiological techniques, data integrity, and quality standards.Where You Come From:

• You hold a degree in Microbiology or a related life science discipline (B.Sc. or M.Sc.)
• 4-6 years of experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environment.
• You bring a strong working knowledge of sterility assurance, EM programs, and microbiological testing, with prior involvement in investigations and audits.
