Position: Senior Network Administrator

Job Type: Full-Time; Exempt

Shift Details: 8:00AM – 5:00PM – Monday-Friday

Work Location: Hybrid – Travel Required up to 50%

Salary/Hourly Wage: $95,000.00 – $110,000.00/year

Specialties / Licenses or Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience in network administration.
  • Preferred certifications: Network Administration certificate, Microsoft Certified Solution Architect, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), CompTIA Network+.

Role Overview: Senior Network Administrators are tasked with managing data centers, infrastructure, IT, and business systems. Their responsibilities include technical support, hardware and software installation and maintenance, help desk and remote desktop support, server and operating system management, and documentation of procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Provide technical leadership to IT teams, ensuring best practices in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
    • Mentor junior network administrators and support technicians, fostering a cohesive learning environment.
    • Manage IT-related projects across the organization.
    • Develop and manage yearly project plans within the IT department.
  2. Network Installation, Maintenance, and Monitoring:
    • Provision, install/configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware and software, and related Windows infrastructure.
    • Support cloud environments, Windows servers, deployments, network administration, configuration, and troubleshooting (NOC).
    • Administer VPNs, firewalls, and other security applications (SOC).
    • Deploy and maintain VMware, Workspace One, Okta, Jira, Active Directory, Vonage, Verkada, and Microsoft 365.
    • Investigate, repair, and recover from hardware/software failures, maintain disaster recovery procedures, and coordinate with impacted sites and users.
  3. Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Create documents, FAQs, and security prevention/awareness guides for end-users.
    • Comply with company policies, procedures, and HIPAA privacy rules and regulations.
    • Monitor, detect issues, and report on third-party, Windows, and mobile applications and devices.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Provide front-line and virtual support in a hybrid work environment.
    • Manage equipment inventory and third-party vendor relationships.
    • Support multiple sites across 7+ states.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to align technical solutions with organizational goals.
  5. Additional Duties:
    • Undertake additional projects as assigned.
    • Support Contact Center telephone and customer care core systems.

Job Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following requirements:

  1. Education/Licenses:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience in network administration.
    • Preferred certifications: Network Administration certificate, Microsoft Certified Solution Architect, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), CompTIA Network+.
  2. Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in network administration required.
    • 2+ years in a senior or lead role preferred.
  3. Skills:
    • Advanced knowledge of network operating systems, WLAN, cloud environments, network topologies, network hardware, computer operating systems (Windows), routing, switching, data privacy, security, and telecommunication systems.
    • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP).
    • Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco, Extreme and equivalent networking hardware.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid networking environments.
    • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
    • Expertise in configuring firewalls, VPNs, and other security appliances.
    • Exceptional leadership skills to mentor team members and drive successful implementation of complex network projects.
    • Strong customer service background.
    • Proficiency in managing organizational expectations and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Experience in vendor contract management.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and lift a minimum of 65 lbs.

Driving Requirements:

  • If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations’ driving policy.
  • If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non-Driver Attestation form must be signed.

Miscellaneous Requirement(s):

  • Travel required based on business need.
  • Must be 18 years of older with a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.
  • We are a Second-Chance Employer

    • Must be able to pass substance abuse testing and/or tuberculous testing (if applicable).
    • Must be able to obtain fingerprinting clearance in applicable states
    • Must be able to pass education verification check.
    • Must be able to pass three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements criteria of insurance carrier (if driving is required for this position).
