About the Team

The ZF WAN Team is global network infrastructure team that is taking care of the connectivity of all of ZFs 350+ sites.

Currently the WAN is being changed from a Hybrid setup, relying on MPLS and Internet towards an Internet only underlay with SD-WAN.

Automation is key in adding value to the company and repetitive tasks are to be replaced.

What you can look forward to as Senior Network Engineer WAN:

• Analysis, design, implementation, and operation of the Wide Area Network (WAN)
• Participation in the definition of standards and processes for the WAN & Participation in future

development of the network, e.g. software defined network

• Consult with application development teams regarding performance of applications in the

WAN & Management of external service provider and monitoring of service level agreements

• Reporting, analysis of infrastructure and requirements, and recommendation of proactive network changes

Analysis, processing and tracking of disturbance and performance & problems. Implementation and support

of WAN optimization and encryption technology

• Planning and implementation of version and system changes & Participation in international projects

& Ability/willingness to meet flexible schedule arrangements per customer requirements (i.e. on-call duty)

Your Profile as Senior Network Engineer WAN (m/f/d):

• High sense of responsibility and ownership for the availability and performance of the network

infrastructure

• Proven analytical abilities in addition to strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Working & knowledge

of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking.

• Knowledge and experience working with automation and API tools and languages (Ansible, YAML, Python,

JSON, etc…) XML, webservices

• Knowledge and experience in network technologies, in particular wide area networking & Experience with

routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)

• Experience providing customer support and resolution regarding technical issues & Experience in dealing

with customers and suppliers
