Package: Competitive salary, Pension, Other benefitsAn established freight forwarder is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead and optimise its European import/export freight division. This hands-on leadership role requires a strategic, commercially driven individual with expertise in supply chain management and performance optimisation.Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior management to optimise workflows, resource allocation, and cost efficiencies.
• Manage KPIs, margin control, and financial performance for continuous improvement.
• Lead the freight operations team, overseeing European import/export shipments.
• Utilise ERP systems (e.g., Azyra) to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
• Drive tech and data integration for process automation and decision-making.
• Negotiate competitive rates while maintaining high service levels.
• Oversee customer and partner communications, including EDI and API integrations.
• Monitor financial performance, including operational costs and pricing strategies.
• Lead and mentor the team, fostering talent development.
• Support projects aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and scalability.

Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience in logistics and freight operations management.
• Strong background in strategic planning, KPI management, and financial oversight.
• Tech-savvy with experience in ERP systems and data-driven tools.
• Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyse data and drive performance improvements in a fast-paced environment
