Join us and help drive innovation and sustainability in our projects.Senior Pipelines and Subsea FEA EngineerRole Context:As a Senior Pipelines and Subsea FEA Engineer at Worley, you will support and lead advanced analysis scopes requiring FEA and occasionally CFD, interface with other disciplines and the client to ensure the requirements of each scope are understood and met, from early concept phases of a project to installation and commissioning phases. You will also support on proposals, tenders, and bid clarifications as well as contribute to promoting new design approaches and technologies for different project phasesYou’ll be:

  • providing high level expertise in pipeline design and structural stress analysis aspects of projects, including calculation and analysis requirements as well as design and 3D model checking, verification and validation of structural engineering and design.
  • experienced in the application of numerical techniques for the analysis of engineering problems, with emphasis on FEA.
  • familiar with basic CFD principles and willing to improve skillset, as required.
  • developing 2D/3D FEA models to address the requirements of analysis scopes with high complexity, as required.
  • capable of interfacing with a team of engineers (specifically, structural, geotechnical, and subsea production engineers) seeking input from knowledgeable sources, designers, and specialists on a regular basis as well as a variety of clients’ technical backgrounds.
  • gathering, preparing, and developing engineering studies, numerical analyses, calculations, and technical reports, specifications and design philosophies.
  • well-versed in different types engineering commercial FEA/CFD and piping analysis software packages, including ABAQUS, ANSYS and CaesarII, for the assessment of general structures/structural components and pipeline/piping systems under static and dynamic loading conditions.

QualificationsYou’ll have:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline
  • MSc and/or PhD in a related Engineering field is preferred
  • professional (or seeking professional) status
  • good working knowledge of UK and International design standards and codes
  • an understanding of subsea hardware and productions systems
  • an understanding of pipeline design principles
  • excellent people’s skills interacting with engineers of different seniority, technical capability, and cultural background, proactive to get the work done, a team player with a can-do attitude
  • good time-management skills and the ability to perform under pressure
  • a “can-do” attitude, welcoming challenges
  • interest in conducting R&D activities, co-authoring research papers and participating in International Conferences
