Matrix Recruitment is seeking to recruit a Senior Project Engineer for our client based in the County Kildare area- SouthCommutable from Carlow, Kildare, Kilcullen, Newbridge, Naas, Laois areasThis is a 2 year FTC/ possibility of extensionsYou’ll manage projects to improve machinery safety in the factory, from design to final implementation.Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:

• Manage projects to ensure they stay on track, within budget, and meet safety standards.
• Plan how the project will be carried out and the best way to get it done.
• Review and choose the best suppliers for equipment and materials.
• Offer technical advice to reduce risks and keep everything safe.
• Supervise on-site work, making sure health and safety rules are followed.
• Coordinate with all teams involved to keep everything running smoothly.
• Keep everyone updated on project progress and fix any issues that come up.

What are we looking for?

• A degree or strong background in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
• 5 years of experience in project management in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Experience managing machinery or equipment-related projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and familiarity with CAD software.
• Solid understanding of H&S regulations, especially in factory environments.
• Key skills: problem solver, attention to detail, team player.
