Leading the planning, design, and construction of major transport infrastructure projects
Managing contract operations involving professional services consultants and contractors
Overseeing the procurement for design and construction phases
Securing planning permissions and negotiating land purchases
Providing highways expertise and technical support to the infrastructure delivery team
Preparing and presenting progress reports on project development
Engaging with the Cabinet Member for Transport and Infrastructure to ensure project timelines are met
Supporting project management methodologies and leading the assurance process
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in managing major transport infrastructure projects
Highways expertise and an understanding of infrastructure delivery
Experience in contract management and procurement processes
Proficiency in obtaining planning permissions and managing land negotiations
Ability to develop Green Book compliant business cases
Chartered Engineer status is desirable
Excellent reporting and communication skills to engage with senior stakeholders
Strong project management skills and experience with project management frameworks
