Amazon Web Services (AWS) is leading the largest paradigm shift in the technology industry this decade. We looking for a strong technical leader to develop Telecom solutions. As a Telecom technical leader in AWS Telecom team, you will have the exciting opportunity to build mind share, establish customer/partner trust and nurture adoption of the AWS cloud computing platform in the industry.

You will get the opportunity to work with a wide array of AWS customers and partners, from well-established tech giants to innovative startups that were born in the cloud. You will work with our customers and partners to ensure they build scalable, secure, and high performance solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will possess the technical and business acumen that enables them to engage at all levels of an organization; as well as the ability to dive deep and build cloud-optimized architectures.

You will be as comfortable whiteboarding complex software architectures with a room full of engineers as are briefing an executive audience. You will author whitepapers and reference architectures that will be leveraged by the global Solution Architect (SA) community within AWS. You will deliver technical webinars, speak at public events and file patents for what could potentially be a future AWS product or feature.

You have deep experience working in the Telecom industry building scalable, secure and compliant solutions within AI/ML use cases such as Quality of Service Optimization, Anomaly/Fault Detection/SON, Churn Prediction, Network Traffic Optimization, Malicious Mobile Apps Detection, Real-time CDR / DPI Analysis and Fleet / Field Ops Management Optimized Call Routing.

You have communication skills and are technical, with the ability to impress AWS customers at any level, from executive to developer. Previous experience with AWS is desired but not required. Domain experience of AI/ML in Telecom industry is essential.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience working with or for companies in the telecommunications industry.
  • 5+ years of customer-facing experience in the telecommunications space.
  • 5+ years experience with hands on architecture and design experience within AI/ML applications for Telecom use cases such as RCA, Traffic prediction, etc.
  • 5+ years experience with technologies related to cloud technologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hands on experience within AI/ML space working with Tier 1 telecom operators globally.
  • 5+ years professional experience in software development in languages like Java, Python, Scala.
  • Experience working with RESTful API and general service-oriented architectures.
  • 5+ years experience in infrastructure and network architecture, DevOps, or software engineering.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
