The job sits within Group Financial Services which is responsible for all aspects of accounting for the Group. This includes the provision of financial and management accounting services, financial analysis, preparation of annual budgets, treasury, tax and VAT management.This is a great opportunity for pro-active, responsible individuals to progress their career and develop their management accountant and organisational skills. Flexible working arrangements will be considered with a minimum of 28 hours per week.The role of Senior Service Charge Officer will include:

  • Providing accurate and timely financial information whilst maintaining effective financial systems, to support decision making and business planning
  • Completing annual scheme accounts cycle and dealing with external auditors
  • Providing an effective administration service ensuring workloads are manageable in line with business requirements
  • Identifying areas for improvement and shortfalls in service delivery and recommending actions to remedy this, as appropriate
  • Supporting other colleagues within the team to maintain high levels of productivity
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Skills and experiences:

  • Experience of working within a similar role with strong analytical skills is essential
  • Working knowledge of financial regulations, legislation and current practice
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer care and communication skills
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • AAT part/fully qualified, or equivalent level of qualification
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook with knowledge of SAP

  • Role salary is £26,982 with an additional policy allowance of £2,968 per annum (rising to £28,402 with an additional policy allowance of £3,124 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
