Senior Software EngineerGlasgow (Hybrid)£60KNine Twenty Technology are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a Glasgow based Software Business. They are currently looking to expand one of their product teams which has a real focus on Microsoft Azure technologies. As a Senior Software engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing these applications with new features and improvements. Additionally, you will regularly interact with customers to ensure their satisfaction and promptly address any issues that arise. As a Senior Engineer, you will ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded in terms of software and service quality and lead others in the delivery of product excellence. You will also be responsible for mentoring and provide guidance to less experienced development team members.Skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Ability to provide precise estimates for development tasks
  • Strong presentation abilities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated to enhance personal skills
  • Effective team player, willing to share knowledge and assist others as needed
  • Analytical mindset for problem-solving
  • High attention to detail and adherence to procedures
  • Outstanding customer service capabilities
  • Proficient in multitasking, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines
  • Flexible and efficient time management

Technical skills:

  • C#, ASP.NET .Net (Core, latterly .Net 6)
  • Database schema design
  • HTML, CSS , JavaScript, Visual Studio
  • Microsoft Azure Services (2 years) + Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure AD B2CAzure SQL , SQL Management Studio

Desirable but not essential:

  • Containers (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Test Driven Development
  • Agile/SCRUM
  • Selenium and/or other automated testing tools
