Senior Specialist QC VirologyJob purpose:As a Senior Specialist QC Virology, you will be part of the Analytical Science Technology and Innovation. The department is in charge of the lifecycle of methods applied to the current GSK vaccines produced in Belgium by ensuring analytical support to Manufacturing as well as developing and validating innovative, modern and robust methods.You will navigate between these two hats:Act as a Technical Expert in virology to build technical strategy across QC, conduct the validation and generate and present the results to the stakeholders.Act as a Supervisor to ensure the remediation project of life cycle of methods in virology in interaction with QC Commercial teams and provide support to production for process evaluation.In this role you will…Propose adapted technical strategy for problem solving and method improvementOrganize the execution of experiments in the teams and also in collaboration with other QC (release, scientific writer), QA scientists and external stakeholders (routine testing/ method optimization, product characterization, …)Ensure the proper functioning of the laboratory and equipment monitoringUnderstand and apply the quality system set up in the laboratory (management of deviations, CAPA, …)Review and synthesize the data for presentation in internal technical teams and reportsEnsure knowledge management and optimal communicationsWhy you?Qualifications & Skills:University degree in life sciences, a PhD is a plusBroad experience within the Pharmaceutical Industry which provide excellent knowledge of GxP and regulations requirementSolid knowledge in virology techniquesHigh level of lab practice; trouble shootingPrevious experience in team managementProven technical experiences in a large organizationEnthusiastic, positive approach with an open mind for local/global issuesExcellent organization and communication skills in French and EnglishFlexibility, tenacity, curiosity and strong logical approach to problem solvingAnalytical, logical thought process with strong information organization/management skills.Ability to work in a team environment under high pressure situationsStrong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skillsPreferred Qualifications & Skills:Use of scientific knowledge and common sense to carry out the development/remediation of analytical methodsCapable of analyzing problems and propose solutions on the basis of a scientific analysisProven technical experiences with capability of working independently on multiple projects, and ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlinesEstablish and maintain cross functional relationships.
