Service Delivery ManagerLocation: Birmingham
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000
Full time Permanent / Mon-Fri office hoursThis roleYou will plan, organise, and manage the daily work of the office and the collection drivers and associated system data input. Support the Service Leadership team in a positive and proactive manner, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with the companies Health and Safety Policy and in a Profitable manner.Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Prioritise work schedules to maximise efficiency.
  • Enforce road traffic legislation and oversee day-to-day driver activities.
  • Utilise Power BI reports for standards management.
  • Conduct driver appraisals and assist in new driver inductions.
  • Optimise overtime, ensuring adherence to start times and tracker activity.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and proactively investigate missed collections.
  • Log and resolve customer complaints using CRM.
  • Conduct daily route debriefs and address noted issues promptly.
  • Arrange site surveys for accidents or near misses.
  • Ensure drivers perform pre and post-shift vehicle checks.
  • Accurately record customer weights and investigate weighing defects.
  • Sign off new contracts, ensuring feasibility and location compatibility.
  • Charge customers for extra waste collected using vehicle cameras and cross-checking AMCS.
  • Keep the Depot Customer Hotlist updated and communicate service issues promptly.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Customer service expertise.
  • Extensive knowledge of the waste industry.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications.
  • Knowledge of Tachograph legislation.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Resilient, and flexible.
  • Diligent team player able to work independently and collaboratively.
