  • To lead the project team in the successful delivery of the project, ensuring compliance with the contract requirements, and all relevant health, safety, quality and environmental standards.
  • Stakeholder management and acting as main point of contact with 3rd parties including the client, specialists, regulatory bodies, utility companies and the general public etc.
  • Proficiency in programme management (MS Project), progress reports, technical queries, registers, and attendance at site meetings.
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety requirements and experience in managing the site safety file, including method statements, risk assessments, site inductions, and toolbox talks etc.
  • Astute commercial awareness and oversight in conjunction with the project quantity surveyor.
  • Labour/subcontractor coordination and management.
  • Material procurement.
  • Experience in the coordination of temporary works and traffic management would be an advantage.
  • Ensuring a thorough and appropriate record keeping regime is maintained on site.

Requirements:

  • Primary degree in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Chartered status, or commitment to achieve chartered status (desirable).
  • 5 years + relevant experience.
  • Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Broad knowledge and experience of relevant industry standards, specifications, regulations, contract documents, and works methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full clean Irish/EU driving licence.
  • Ambition, self-motivation, and initiative.
