The Workvivo Infrastructure team is a successful, fast paced engineering team supporting the delivery of high quality features. The ideal candidate enjoys a challenge and will share our passion for delivering great software.Key Responsibilities:Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system healthBuild software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applicationsImprove reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutionsMeasure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continual improvementProvide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applicationsGather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault findingPartner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release proceduresParticipate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planningCreate sustainable systems and services through automation and upliftsThis Role will include some on call supportDesirable Skills and Experience:3+ years professional SRE experienceExperience with AWS cloud services such as ECS,Cloudformation, Lambda and ElasticbeanstalkExperience working with hosted web applications/SaaSAbility to take ownership and responsibility for mission critical tasksWork collaboratively in a team and participate in infrastructure and process discussions and planningAbility to program (structured and OOP) using one or more high-level languages, such as Python, PHP, Node.JS,Go and JavaScriptProactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvementOptional: a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.Ways of Working
