Job description
Communicare is looking for an empathetic, patient and dependable Social Care Assistant who has a genuine passion for helping people and a commitment to providing high-quality care to join our team in our beautifully renovated and soon to open 4-bed service in O’Briensbridge, County Clare.We provide individualised and person-centred residential disability services. The goal of our disabilities team is to maximise the independence of our clients while supporting their physical, emotional and social needs.Working hours:
Full-time hours are 36 to 39 hours per week and the hours will vary. All posts are rostered over a 14 day/night duty roster. There will be a requirement for Staff to work days, waking night duty, weekends, split duty hours, bank holidays, and sleepovers to meet service needs.At Communicare we provide an excellent employee experience and we offer our employees the following:

The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Support our clients in daily tasks such as personal care, light housekeeping, food preparation.
- Provide companionship and support with social activities.
- Work to promote the health and well-being of clients.
Role requirements:
- FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Social Care or Healthcare
- Two written references.
- Understanding of HIQA standards and regulations.
- CPR & Patient Moving and Handling Certificates
- Full driving license and access to a car is a distinct advantage but not essential.
