Are you an experienced Facilities Supervisor or Manager with knowledge of Soft Services (Cleaning, Security, Catering, Pest Control, Landscaping etc)?
Do you want to take the next step in your career at one of the leading manufacturing sites in the Mid-West?I’m currently seeking the right person to fill an open Soft Services Manager role. In this role you will lead a large team of Facilities professionals to deliver compliant, effective services in a manufacturing environment. You will ensure that the work is carried out efficiently, to the highest standards and audit ready at all times.Key Responsibilities

  • Service Delivery: Ensure consistent service quality in line with company, client, and statutory standards.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all health & safety regulations and ensure safe working practices.
  • Incident Management: Effectively handle service requests and incidents, including out-of-hours responses.
  • People Management: Recruit, develop, and manage staff to meet operational needs and maintain employee relations.
  • Standards: Maintain site standards per Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct regular quality and safety audits; address client concerns and suggest improvements.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for building occupants regarding cleaning, security, and mail.
  • Manage costs within budget; maintain accurate financial records, including stock control and payroll.
  • Administer payroll, maintain personnel records, and ensure staff training.
  • Promote a positive and professional image in line with Sodexo and client philosophies.
  • Lead team meetings and manage holiday schedules to ensure operational coverage.

Accountabilities

  • Service Management: Oversee cleaning, reception, security, and postal operations to meet company and client standards within budget.
  • Compliance Enforcement: Implement and monitor H&S compliance and related equipment.
  • Resource Management: Schedule work and manage HR and payroll tasks effectively.
  • Staff Development: Lead and motivate staff to achieve high performance.
  • Financial Management: Manage all financial and inventory activities related to soft services.

Person Specification

  • 5+ years of relevant Facilities Management experience
  • Essential: Team leadership, industry knowledge (preferably in pharmaceuticals), strong people management, multitasking, attention to detail, customer service, communication skills, and computer literacy.
  • Desirable: H&S qualification (IOSH), experience with payroll/HR systems, budget management, security industry experience.
