Solution Designer (Telecom IT) / Cloud Architect

e are seeking an experienced Solution Designer with expertise in the Global supply chain and Billing applications to join our IT team. The Solution Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end IT solutions for telecom services. This role requires deep technical knowledge of supply chain systems, people , reporting tools and IT architectures, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of solutions with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design:

  • Lead the design and architecture of IT solutions for supply chain systems, people, reporting tools and IT architectures – Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Ensure that solutions align with both business strategies and technology roadmaps.
  • Design scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that can be integrated into existing telecommunications infrastructure.

2. Technical Leadership:

  • Act as the technical lead during solution design discussions and ensure all technical aspects of the project are accounted for.
  • Guide development teams in implementing solutions that meet design specifications.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve complex issues and recommend innovative solutions for network and system improvements.

3. Requirement Analysis:

  • Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather, validate, and clarify functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of various design options in meeting business and technical needs.

4. Telecom System Integration:

  • Design solutions that integrate with telecom-specific systems such as OSS (Operational Support Systems), BSS (Business Support Systems), billing systems, CRM, and network management platforms.

5. Solution Documentation:

  • Develop detailed design documents, including architecture diagrams, data flows, and technical specifications.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle to ensure knowledge sharing and system transparency.

6. Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure solutions comply with industry standards (e.g., TM Forum frameworks, 3GPP) and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that security, scalability, and performance requirements are embedded in all technical designs.

7. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, including product management, network operations, software development, and infrastructure teams, to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
  • Present designs and technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

8. Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners to evaluate third-party solutions and integrate them into existing telecom systems.
  • Provide technical oversight for vendor-based solutions and ensure alignment with internal systems.

9. Quality Assurance:

  • Work with QA teams to ensure that solutions are thoroughly tested and meet the required quality standards.
  • Participate in solution validation, including performance testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and troubleshooting of technical issues.

10. Innovation and Research:

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in the industry (e.g., IoT, cloud computing).
  • Recommend new tools, methodologies, and technologies to improve system design and delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in solution design and architecture in the telecom domain.
  • Strong understanding of technologies and protocols,
  • Experience working with OSS/BSS systems, billing, and CRM platforms.
  • Solid understanding of network and systems integration.
  • Proficiency in software design and architecture tools (e.g., UML, Enterprise Architect, Visio).
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., GCP, Azure) and virtualization (e.g., NFV, SDN) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., TM Forum, 3GPP, ITIL).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • NIFI, GCP Cloud tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams.
  • Spanish speaking.
