Sow farm supervisors are responsible for managing the day-to-day tasks of the farm, ensuring production targets are met, and supervising the employees on the farm.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Input necessary data into the Market Haul Delivery database, organize the output, and distribute it to the appropriate personnel.
- Establish and adjust work procedures to meet the operational needs of transportation, marketing, plant, and production.
- Direct the daily assignment of drivers and trucks by dispatching assets according to the best combination of route and equipment usage.
- Routinely makes critical decisions regarding efficient and effective operations of the fleet, as well as determining appropriate responses to emergencies.
- Assist the Market Haul Group with troubleshooting and follow-up deliveries and discrepancies in scheduled vs. actual deliveries.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university preferred; or 4+ years related experience and/or training; or 2 to 5 years of Swine Experience preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Must be proficient in the English language, reading and writing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed and hog dust.
