WORK SCHEDULE
Part-Time, temporary 29.5 hours a week from May through October.
SUMMARY
Working with Spruce Island Farm employees, you will learn about and assist with all day-to-day aspects of vegetable production and special projects needed to operate the farm. The internship position provides the opportunity to actively experience and learn about successful small farming in Ouzinkie. They require hard work in the field daily and offers the invaluable benefit of being a part of a team and the inner workings of the farm to assist in providing food security to the community.

High School diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent physical labor, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most of the work is performed in an outdoor farming environment.
