The role will be responsible for working on speed, network attainment, design, and optimization projects end to end for Sort Center and Line Haul organization. The candidate will work extensively with other Transportation planning teams to develop the projects, metrics, and operations for execution. You will write business papers, present in weekly business review meetings, and develop the right metrics for visibility to Director and / or VP of the organization. You will be integral part of developing yearly organization objectives and meeting those each year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Key metrics – Speed, connectivity, hub development for network.
  • Dive deep for extensive data for Outbound supply chain, speed, and connectivity.
  • Develop Network design tenets, vision, and roadmap for implementation.
  • Manage full life-cycle of complex cross-functional programs – work with all planning organization and operations
  • Develop metric, dashboards, KPIs, and optimization models by working with a team of BIEs and Data Scientists
  • Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment and scale of the network
  • Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)
  • Roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; Just do it / owner mentality
  • Communicate business updates regularly to senior leadership

Key job responsibilities

You will work to present network wide initiatives for Sort Center network – present health of network to Sr. Manager to Director+ leadership for each of the metrics. You will also be developing metrics, business papers, and other written communication to each of the initiatives for overall network.

About the team

The Network Optimization (NETO) team will be responsible for designing and optimizing the ATS Ground Network to improve speed and network connectivity, and optimize end to end package flow. The team will also drive configuration changes for NASC in upstream planning systems (ATROPS, Radian, etc.). Further, we will also develop metrics for network optimization opportunities. While the scope of team will be limited to T+1-year horizon in US and Canada network, the team will partner with other planning teams for execution of network changes.

NETO operates through four work streams: Speed, Network Connectivity, ATS Ground National Network, and Network Configurations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
