In addition to Intersport Elverys’ title sponsorship of Mayo GAA, we are also title sponsor of the FAI Summer Soccer Schools, retail partner to the IRFU, Connacht Rugby, Dublin GAA and Tipperary GAA.Job Scope:The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operations and sales performance of our stores and ensuring that the right people and product are in place to achieve and exceed Company expectations.To support the business’ sustainability Impact Strategy through proactive promotion of economic, environmental and social initiatives undertaken, aimed at ensuring our ambition to be circular in every aspect of our business by 2030 is realised.Key Responsibilities:Every aspect of day-to-day operations in the store, including sales, staff, customer experience, security, health & safety, stock and resources managementMeet and exceed store targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Recruit, train, coach and manage staff in line with company policies, ensuring fairness and consistency to all.Manage all cash, wage costs, budgets and systems administration as required (TMS, SAP, etc)Drive excellent Visual Merchandising in store to engage, inspire and educate the consumerEnsure all in-store services are suitably staffed and promoted, e.g. footwear measuring, assisted selling, etc.Be security conscious within the store and stock rooms – monitor potential shoplifters and follow security guidelines to deter pilferage and protect stockResponsible for overall Health & Safety in store. Ensure all staff are fully trained and following company policies and procedures with regard to Health & SafetyIdentify current and future customer requirements & develop additional non-direct businessEnsure successful implementation of projects in line with company expectationsDeliver excellent store standards consistently in line with business audit requirementsKey holder and main call out person in the event of alarm activationProvide cover for other stores as requiredAny other activities as required in order to ensure the successful operation of the storeQualifications, skills and experience:2/3 years retail management experience (dependent on store grade)Excellent interpersonal, communication, people management and leadership skillsPassionate about the delivery of an excellent customer experience with an understanding of how this drives sales and affects the bottom lineExperience in Visual Merchandising desirableStrong product knowledgeProficient IT knowledge including Excel, Email, SAP.3rd Level Business/Retail Management Qualification beneficial but not essentialAdditional Benefits include;Employee in-store discountLearning & Development (Online training platform, Emerging Manager program, Education Assistance, Study & Exam Leave)Service AwardsEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCompany Sick Pay SchemeEmployee Referral ProgramMomentous Life-Events/Life Milestones acknowledgementNote: This job description is not a static document and doesn’t propose to cover every aspect of this role.
