• Help with the upkeep of the grounds and facilities.
• Grass mowing upkeep of catch pens.
• Fence building/repair.
• Help check cattle and maintain water troughs for cattle.
• General farm daily duties as assigned by Farm Manager

Minimum Qualifications 

Position Summary 

The Student Farm Assistant position assists with grounds, facility, and animal upkeep on the Department of Population Health’s Riverbend and Rose Creek farms.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position 

Prior farm, construction, or outdoor work experience. All experience will be considered, regardless of if experience was formal/paid work or informal/volunteer/home work.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Physical DemandsMay involve tractor use (including driving) and lifting of > 50 pounds. Driving a tractor would be the only potential driving responsibility, not vehicles.
