Job Description Summary
Telecom Support intern to assist Telecom Support team staff in providing technical assistance with the daily operations of the organization’s Microwave network infastructure, SCADA network and mobile radio equipment.

General SummaryThe Student Intern – Telecom Support/EE will assist telecom support team members in providing technical assistance with the daily operations of the organization’s microwave network, SCADA network and mobile radio network.
Essential Functions Operate and repair WSSC Water’s microwave, SCADA and mobile radio systems, Install, repair, and maintain base stations, antennae, radio, and electronic equipment in or on all types of vehicles and structures, Perform radio frequency compliance checks as required by the FCC, inventory, customer service.
Other Functions Perform other duties as required.
Work Environment And Physical Demands Work in business casual office and field industrial settings.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Coursework in electronics, radio communications, power systems designs
Minimum Education, Experience Requirements Completion of 2+ years college towards a degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
Additional Requirements
Proficient in using MS Office Suite applications
Preferences
Some experience with electronics and radio communications is helpful.
