What you’ll do as a Supervisor Telecom Construction Underground
- You will hire, manage and train employees; schedule work for crews; ensure employees follow rules, practices and policies and schedules are met on time
- You will review paperwork, such as dailies, timecards, billing, etc to ensure accuracy
- You will perform pre and post inspection of jobs, pre-survey work and place one calls; ensure work is complete and clean up is done
- You will represent company with customers, subcontractors, vendors, property owners, utilities, etc.
- You will ensure all corporate policies and procedures are followed and contribute to company strategies and plans
- You will be responsible for the safety on his or her jobsite; including all employees for the Company and any other employers near the jobsite
- You will conduct periodic safety inspections, gate checks and Job Safety Observations (JSO) at each jobsite under their supervision
- You will investigate all accidents and complete accident report in Intellex within 4 hours of the occurrence of the accident/incident
- You will be in the office sixty percent of the time and in the field thrity percent of the time.
What you’ll need
- You are at least 18 years old
- You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
- You have a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years utility construction experience
- You have one (1) to two (2) years proven experience supervising employees and managing crews
- You are able to maintain a safe work environment
- You are able to proficiently plan, prioritize and organize workload efficiently
- You are able to effectively communicate orally or in written form with management, internal and external customers.
Additional qualifications
- You have a valid drivers license
- You have an MVR record that is deemed acceptable by the company
- You are able to work over-time; after hours; on weekends; and for emergencies or on-call
- You are proficient with general computer knowledge; and knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Mathematical skills
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely: stand, crouch, sit, bend, use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low. The employee will be standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding or stooping while on shift. May be exposed to dust, fumes or other airborne pathogens, outside weather conditions which can include but is not limited to: extreme heat and cold temperatures; inclement weather such as rain, snow, sleet and dust as well as adverse driving conditions including wet roads, icy roads, and fog
- Occasionally: lift up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance, long driving and sitting
Salary Range $55,000.00 to $70,000.00/ Annually (based on experience)
