Lex Consultancy is delighted to be partnered with a leading Property Developer and the hiring of an Environmental & Sustainability Officer to join an expanding team on a permanent contract, based in Dublin 4.This position reports into the head of the department. The ideal candidate will have a degree in environmental science or sustainability-related discipline, or a mechanical engineering background with at least 2 years of sustainability experience.Key responsibilities of the Environmental & Sustainability Officer

• Participate in design team and site meetings as needed
• Maintain a compliance and certification tracker to compile, record, and report an auditable trail of sustainability metrics for project certifications
• Evaluate and report on third-party Building Energy Modelling and Thermal Modelling
• Oversee and review building certification assessments
• Collaborate with main contractors and supply chain sub-contractors to ensure timely collection and submission of certification requirements and evidence

Key skills of the Environmental & Sustainability Officer:

• 2+ years experience in a similar role within the construction industry
• A degree in environmental science or a related sustainability discipline
• A background in mechanical engineering advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
