Job description
CG Business Consulting is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry leaders in sustainability, helping businesses across Ireland achieve their environmental and operational goals. Role Overview You will contribute to a variety of impactful projects, including: • Sustainability strategy development • Carbon reduction initiatives • Sustainability standard implementation • Client training and audits This hands-on role offers broad exposure across multiple industries, driving real change in environmental performance and sustainable operations. Qualifications • Required: Diploma or Degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Energy, or a related field • Preferred: Master’s in Sustainability Management, Climate Change, or Environmental Science Candidate Profile We are looking for someone with: • Passion for sustainability and climate action • Strong interest or knowledge of carbon footprinting, ESG, net-zero pathways, and CSRD/ESRS reporting • Familiarity with decarbonisation strategies • Awareness of EU/global sustainability regulations • Excellent communication and report-writing skills • Strong attention to detail and data integrity • Ability to multitask and manage documentation • Team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Key Responsibilities • European Sustainabilty Reporting • Perform carbon footprint assessments in line with ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol • Support validation and verification of sustainability claims (e.g., net-zero, carbon neutrality) • Analyse sustainability data and generate actionable insights • Create clear, detailed reports for assessments and verifications • Deliver training on sustainability standards and best practices • Keep current with sustainability standards and regulatory changes • Assist with logistics, operations, and technical follow-up for validations and training Why Join CG Business Consulting?
