Job Summary

The Systems Engineer assists in the processes of planning and building an organization’s systems infrastructure of hardware and software. This position assists in the designing of information systems that are appropriate for users’ needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization’s information systems architecture. Working under general supervision, this position supports the lifecycle validation of systems and solutions to identify technical constraints and capabilities for the needs of the organization.

Essential Job Functions

• Supports the implementation and modification of infrastructure and network components of the information system.
• Monitors the performance of operations systems and reports system issues as needed to minimize work disruptions.
• Assists with the designing of the architecture of the information system to meet the IT needs of the business.
• Performs technical analysis of software and hardware to determine potential problems and risks.
• Supports full lifecycle validation of systems and solutions to identify technical constraints and capabilities.
• Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.

Education Requirements

• Required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience Requirements

• Required: 1 year Licensure/Certification/Listing
