Job description
Personal Tax Assistant sought for a successful Private Client Tax team in Edinburgh. This is an excellent career development opportunity for an individual with some exposure to personal tax compliance. Additionally, this is a friendly team who enjoy working collaboratively and helping each other out.As part of a structured, supportive team you will be responsible for a range of personal tax administration and compliance duties as allocated by the management team. Clients include very high-net-worth individuals and families, trusts, estates and charities. You will also respond to client queries and offer support with ad hoc technical projects or requests.As your tax technical knowledge and client management experience grows, you will work on more complex client work and work towards managing a portfolio of your own clients. You will manage deadlines and have regular communication with HMRC and third party contacts.You will have prior experience working in the personal tax team within an accounting or legal firm, or in an accounts assistant role with personal tax responsibilities. Ideally you will be ATT qualified or part-qualified, but this is not essential and study support will be offered to those keen to work towards professional qualification. Overall, you will be highly organized, numerate and posses excellent attention to detail.Salary will be dependent on experience + Benefits + Hybrid working available after completion of initial training period.
