I am currently working with a Local Authority in the West Midlands who are looking for a senior Contracts and Commercial Solicitor to manage a team of 5.Duties:

• To manage the Contracts and Commercial Team and ensure it is functioning effectively and efficiently.

• Advising on and leading complex legal and administrative work, including providing direct advice to other council departments and advising on agenda and minutes.

• Advising Councillors on legal issues either at formal Board, Committee or other ad-hoc meetings as may be required.

• Acting as solicitor and/or clerk to any Board Committee or Sub-Committee of the Council, as may be allocated from time to time.

• Attending meetings of working parties and other ad hoc bodies as the Finance and Resources representative as required.
