‘Tech Manager I – Network Automation Lead’ will be part of the IT Infrastructure team that Deployment & Operational support for Network, services and requirements across the Flipkart Corporate ,Supply Chain and Customer Support centers. The IT Infrastructure team is also responsible for managing heterogeneous environments & generating metrics related to Network performance, capacity, availability, failure rates, etc. Specific experience with Large scale WAN, Campus LAN, Campus WLAN, Voice network, Data Center networking & Security is must with strong technical orientation & creativity in problem solving.

Responsibilities & requirements:

Design, develop, and implement automation workflows to streamline network operations and processes, utilizing tools such as Ansible, Python.
Collaborate with network engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and network architecture standards.
Perform rigorous testing of automation scripts and tools in a lab environment before deployment in production to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Manage and maintain the network automation infrastructure, including version control systems and automation servers, to ensure high availability and performance.
Develop custom scripts to automate data collection for network performance monitoring and generate reports for analysis by the network operations team.
Implement security practices within automation workflows to safeguard network data and infrastructure from unauthorized access or breaches.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues within automated processes, applying debugging tools and techniques to ensure minimal disruption to network services.
Document automation processes, including code comments, user manuals, and operational procedures, to ensure knowledge transfer and adherence to best practices within the team.
Drive automation within the team and influence others .
Ability to handle multiple complex tasks in a dynamic environment, with tight deadlines concurrently.
Mentoring the next layer members in the team.
Generate meaningful reports to improve the team’s performance.
Automation of repetitive network tasks through efficient, reusable code minimizes human error and boosts operational efficiency

Experience & Qualifications:

3 -4 Years of overall experience in networking – started with hands on role and played key roles in managing IPv4/IPv6 large scale enterprise networks(Routers/Switch/Firewalls/Wireless)
2 -3 years of experience in creating network automation for operations and implementation tasks.
Strong knowledge on automation tools like Python, Ansible, Perl.
Knowledge on network reporting tools like Spotfire,Powerbi.
Good on cloud automation or network security automation.
Strong knowledge on ITIL process.
Automation to be the key driving force for the team and network rollout.
Platform knowledge on Juniper /Palo Alto/Aruba/ Fortigate/Cisco
Solid understanding of IP/MPLS and Ethernet technologies.
Experience in IP services (IPv4, IPv6, VPN, Multicast, QOS, SNMP, VOIP, SIP, etc).
Experience in Wireless technologies (Wireless Lan topologies, 802.11 network security architecture & RF Domain)
Proven experience in network management & Expert knowledge of network analysis tools.
Knowledge on scripting languages like Perl/Python
Worked on Linux extensively and understands all possible automations for the next Gen Enterprise network.
Excellent understanding of software defined networking.
hands-on experience with network operations
BSc, BE in Electronics/Computer Science or equivalent required
Executed large scale projects during his overall career.
Should have strong business Acumen.
