Ocado Logistics Customer Fulfilment Centre is a true marvel, spanning a colossal 350,000 square feet, and it’s your opportunity to be part of this!About the role:As a Technical Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in our 24/7 operation, serving as a guardian of our cutting-edge technology. Picture yourself in a dynamic environment where we process a staggering 190,000 – 200,000 customer orders every week, all from our Dordon facility. But wait, there’s more! Your role will involve hands-on technical troubleshooting, known as “Jambusting,” and keeping things sparkling clean in case of product spillages.Salary £25,120 per annum + night shift premium.Roles and Responsibilities:Resolve Jams: Be our hero in tackling tote and pallet jams on our conveyor systems.Tech Savvy: Utilise computerised systems to complete jam reports and maintenance logs, highlighting your basic computer literacy skills.Safety First: Champion a culture of safety, raising any health and safety concerns with your line management.Hygiene Matters: Maintain automation equipment cleanliness and hygiene standards, including some heavy-duty cleaning tasks like mopping floors.Flexibility is Key: Expect a mix of physical activity, repetitive tasks, and monitoring automated systems, keeping you on your toes (literally)!What We Need From You:Know-How: Some familiarity with automated warehouses and their technical components will set you on the right track.Communication Skills: We value your ability to communicate effectively and share knowledge with the team.Desirable Experience: While we provide comprehensive training, prior experience in an automated warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
