about the role

The Technical Excellence Partner (TEP) – Network Security ( Fortinet ) job role has been designed for large and complex deal as MSI to cope with the underlying technical and organizational complexities and to remove roadbloacks in the customer technical journey

• As master of technics to collaborate in designing technical security solution on complex, non standard customer business requirements in the pre-sales and/or post-sales phase,
• As master of craft with proven hands-on capabilities to validate the design by implementing first few sites in the Fortinet SD-WAN network, deliver tested configuration templates & configuration guidelines, to drive requirements in term of tools to ensure and secure the right technical dataflow for operating properly.
• As master in collaboration to interact with technical stakeholders (design team, engineering, GPS expert), project manager and with customers experts to define the most appropriate way to deliver the solution.
• As highest technical operational/build authority during build/run phase as well during the customer life cycle for driving critical matters amongst heterogeneous entities for the customer. The Technical Excellence Partner plays clearly an important role in front of the customer to ensure a seamless transition and transformation of the solution into a “state of the art” standards in term of implementation securing the customer business.

Overview:

The security network engineer will be responsible for the delivery, implementation & documentation of new customer orders across IP WAN & MPLS networks for fixed line WAN & SD-WAN telecommunications services. You will take ownership of a wide range of network security, Firewall, cyber security and IPS requests and projects.

Responsibilities:

You will work in the Network Implementation/Deployment department, which is accountable for the remote configuration of Enterprise Network Security solutions over the network infrastructure including the ATM, Ethernet, IP-VPN & MPLS Wide Area Network & SDWAN infrastructure.

You can expect to be involved with:

• Enablement & activations of security products within the Global Provide delivery chain
• Plan technical deployments with project teams to design & implement network security services
• Configure & implement new Fortinet Firewall products into live network environment
• Coordinate implementation activity
• Implement, deploy & provision managed WAN, IP, VPN & MPLS solutions
• Deploy bespoke solutions for customer requirements
• Implement Layer 2 & Layer 3 MPLS services on multi-vendor equipment
• Deliver customer solutions as per design/order requirement
• Manage delivery of routing & switching requirements; IP, VPN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF etc.
• Implementation & maintenance routing & switching equipment
• Liaise with external suppliers to coordinate service delivery & order management activity

Candidate Profile:

Ideally you will have some previous network security engineering experience ideally gained within a Mobile, RAN, TX, Telecom, SDWAN, Carrier, Network Integrator or similar type of technology managed services provider.

Your professional or academic experience is likely to include some of the following:

• Experience with any of the following IP vendors: Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel, Nokia, Fortinet, Fortigate, Palo Alto Networks, Check Point
• Experience with; IP Networking, Fortinet Fortigate Firewalls, Enterprise Network Security, Cyber Security or IPS systems
• Familiarity with WAN, MPLS, IPVPN & SDWAN networks
• Experience with Routing Protocols (BGP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS)
• Experience in testing L2/L3 devices (PE Routers), CPEs
• Deep Understanding of TCP/IP, OSI Layer Protocol suites.
• Good understating on WAN protocols and troubleshooting
• Degree / Diploma Holders with good Telecom / Data / IP Network knowledge.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English language
• Fortinet Ceritifications – FCP/FCSS, FCX – preferred.
• Cisco Ceritifications – CCNA, CCNP, SD-WAN will be preferred.

Overall experience of 8-10 years with core experience implementing Fortinet FTNT product lines.

• Responsible for testing, troubleshooting
• Consulting on and implementing best practices
• Configurations reviews.
• Participate in design discussions, help support/promote Fortinet security products.
• Supporting multiple FortiGate HA clusters and MUST have experience ALL of the following Fortinet products:

o FortiAuthenticator

o FortiAnalyzer

o FortiManager

o FortiSwitch

Knowledge:

o Provisioning of Fortinet FortiGate Firewall solutions

o Cyber Security solution implementation & configuration

o IP Network security implementation

o Remote configuration & commissioning

o End to end deployment

o Change & delivery management

Network provisioning & deployment product deployment

Cisco CCNA/CCNP/SD-WAN & Fortinet Fortinet Certified Professional accreditation is desirable

FCX – preferred.

Minimum 8-10 years of hands on experience in complex enterprise parameter security designs & implementation.
