If so, we’d love for you to join us as a Technical Lead at PA Consulting.As our Technical Lead, you’ll be the driving force behind innovative solutions, steering technical teams through complex challenges and guiding our clients towards successful digital transformations.Your role will extend beyond technical leadership, requiring a deep understanding of architecture, software development, and engineering best practices. Your ability to align solutions with client needs and industry best practices is crucial, as is your passion for continuous improvement and innovation.What you’ll be doing:Collaborate with clients to develop solutions that address their unique challenges, bridging the gap between business objectives and technical capabilitiesLead technical teams in the delivery of complex solutions, providing mentorship to engineers and fostering an environment of continuous improvementBe ready to roll up your sleeves when needed. Ability to nurture talent within the team, guiding them to enhance their skills in coding, architecture, and problem-solving through coaching, reviews, and pair programming.Proven experience delivering enterprise-grade applications on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) with expertise in designing scalable, cloud-native solutions.Extensive experience leading technical delivery within Agile teams, using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.Expertise in technical decision-making and guiding teams towards implementing maintainable, long-term solutions.Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably JavaScript, Java, .Net) and relevant frameworks, with demonstrated ability to design and implement full-stack solutions.Proven capability in shaping the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, driving improvements across development, testing, deployment, and operational phases.Experience implementing infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and efficient release management strategies.Experience collaborating with DevOps and SRE teams, utilising monitoring and observability tools to drive continuous improvement.Proven ability to assess and improve system performance through techniques such as load testing, caching strategies, and optimisation of database queries and application logic to improve scalability and response times.Expertise in modern engineering standards such as TDD, contract testing, and secure coding, as well as architectural patterns like event-driven architecture and platform migration.Skilled at making technical decisions and trade-offs that positively impact teams and solutions.Continuous learner with a growth mindset, staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and bringing this knowledge into the team to enhance technical capabilities and delivery standards.Additional InformationFlexible working – We are guided by our client work and needs; however, you have autonomy to manage your time and diary to suit your work/life balance.We know the skill-gap and ‘somewhat need to tick every box’ can get in the way of meeting brilliant candidates, so please don’t hesitate to apply – we’d love to hear from you.Apply today by completing our online applicationLife At PA encompasses our peoples’ experience at PA.
