Technical Program Manager III, Network Platform NPI, Cloud Networking

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience with networking technologies.
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) in technical infrastructure platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience in network architecture and network platform design and development.
• Knowledge of Networking in Network routers and switches.
• Ability to design and launch new processes, institute process improvements, and help program teams scale.
• Ability to manage without authority.

As a Technical Program Manager focused on Google Networking Technologies (GNT), you will work with the Google Global Networking Technology team. You will scale the Google Production Network by managing cross-functional NPI programs that require working with all organizational levels and groups.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Deliver cross-functional projects/programs and ensure they provide value to customers, manage and deliver Network Platform NPIs for Google’s global network.
• Work with core engineering teams to develop and articulate long-term strategy and plans, develop road-maps, engage teams and engineers, set the pace for introduction of network platforms and infrastructure, initiate NPIs in response to need, and be the catalyst for gaining support.
• Align team members and stakeholders, communicate and keep stakeholders appraised of progress through periodic updates and checkpoints (e.g., engineering reviews).
• Drive project delivery, technology reviews, guide technical proposals, and build consensus on cross-functional teams.
